Craft day with the ladies

Before Christmas, I got together with some ladies from my ward and we made Christmas crafts for fun. From left to right it is Rachael McAllister, Amy Broadbent, and myself. At the top is some glass ornaments we made. Mine is in the forefront with the blue and white snowflakes.

Amy Broadbent is in the background of the next picture.
Here are our little snowmen we made from socks on top of the feet warmers or hot pads we made out of pillowcases and rice. The purple one is mine of course.

Visiting Family

Neal, Evolet, and I went up to visit my family in Washington to see my brother, Jason's mission farewell. He was called to the Norway Oslo mission and reported to the MTC on Dec. 29. We went bowling as one of the activities. Angie and I tried to bowl our babies, but we are not quite in the frame of the picture. Don't our bowling balls look so excited?!

The rest of the pictures our of the individual families and just a few cute ones. Here is Jon, my middle brother with Evolet and his new baby, Logan.

Then there are my parents with my youngest brother, Jason and him again with his niece, Lily. He looks soooo cute with her.

Jon is here with Teigan and Caleb on his lap and Danielle, his wife, with their new baby boy, Logan. Then is my middle sister, Angie, with her family, Lily and Joe. The last picture is Eric's family starting with Evan in the left corner in Brandi's lap. Then Eric (my oldest brother), Grace, Belle, Quinn, and Tyler.

Evolet's prize alvocado pit

Here are just two cute pictures of Evolet after she ate some alvocado. I gave her the pit after she was done, because I figured she couldn't fit it in her mouth. She was so proud of it. Here she is getting after me for taking her picture. Really she just wants the camera for herself.

Halloween 2010

Here is our little monkey for her first Halloween out of the hospital as she was born just before Halloween last year. Evolet got the nickname of monkey, because when she was little she always like to climb up my side while I was holding her, like she wanted to get higher to see better. It helps the nickname that she really likes bananas, too. So here is our caged monkey, Evolet. Isn't she cute?

1st birthday

Evolet had her first birthday this year. I made her a cake, and here she is with all her presents. She had the little cupcake to herself and she was a little timid at first. We sang the "Happy Birthday" song to her and she clapped. She slowly began dipping her fingers in the icing and then by the end the cupcake was in chunks all over her tray and in her catch bib.
It was also at her birthday party on the eve of her birthday that Evolet took her first few steps by herself. Now she is running everywhere. She got a whole lot of new gifts like a new car seat, clothes, a stride-to-ride dinosaur that really helped her with her walking, a v-tech bus that she loves, some Nerf play balls from Dad, and a classic rings over a post that she now wears the rings as bracelets.

A couple of Firsts

Evolet getting caught with the remote with a camera. She loves to grab the remotes, phones or anything she can get her hands on.
Just a cute picture of Evolet.

So it has been a while so here are a few cute pictures of Evolet with a few firsts.

Here is Evolet riding in here first shopping cart without her baby carrier at Hobby Lobby.

On the right is Evolet riding in her first shopping cart at Target. She even matched the basket. Doesn't she look excited!

This is a video of Evolet's first pickle. I guarantee nothing of the quality as it was taken on my still photo camera and I was more concerned about her not choking on the pickle than getting a good shot.

Moved to Texas

So were down in Texas now. Things are going well. We're staying with Neal's parents while we wait for our truck to arrive with all our stuff. Should be sometime this week. I'll keep working on the post and try to keep it updated.
